Plymouth Christian Academy players celebrate after winning a point against Lutheran Westland on Tuesday.

   Division 4 No. 9-ranked Plymouth Christian made quick work of Lutheran Westland on Tuesday, Nov. 5, winning its Michigan High School Athletic Association District 121 volleyball semifinal 3-0 at Southfield Christian.

   Plymouth Christian won 25-16, 25-21, and 25-19 to advance to the district final on Thursday, against No. 4 Southfield Christian.

   Southfield Christian beat Novi Christian 3-0 in its semifinal matchup to set up the final.

 

  Against Lutheran Westland, Plymouth Christian cruised to an easy victory in the first set, but had to rally from 19-12 down in the second set to pull out a 25-21 victory and then closing the match with a 25-19 win.

   Senior Gabriella Kellogg led the Eagles with 14 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Saige Yakuber added six kills and six digs. Senior Madison Raymond had 15 digs. Sophomore Hallie Creighton had five aces, 29 assists, and three digs. Junior Emma Heussner added four kills, three digs, and four aces.
