Bloomfield Hills Marian players and coaches pose with their MHSAA district championship trophy on Friday.

   Division 1 No. 6-ranked Bloomfield Hills Marian rolled past Birmingham Groves 3-0 to win the Michigan High School Athletic Association District 26 volleyball championship on Friday, Nov. 2, at Marian.

   Marian won 25-15, 25-10, and 25-22 to improve to 39-8-4 on the season.

   Junior Christine Audette led Marian with seven kills. Senior Mallory Lynch had seven digs. Freshman Sarah Sylvester had three blocks.

 

 

Senior Maddie Dowd totaled 31 assists.

   Marian beat Birmingham Seaholm 3-0 in its district semifinal on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

   Marian hosts to Region 7 action, where they will face Detroit Cass Technical on Tuesday, Nov. 6. No. 1-ranked and Catholic High School League rival Farmington Hills Mercy takes on Detroit Renaissance in the other regional semifinal. The regional final is Thursday, Nov. 8.
