Farmington Hills Mercy players pose with their MHSAA district championship trophy on Friday.

   Division 1 No. 1-ranked Farmington Hills Mercy rolled past Livonia Stevenson 3-0 to win the Michigan High School Athletic Association District 25 volleyball championship on Friday, Nov. 2, at Farmington.

   Mercy cruised 25-13, 25-10, and 25-16 to improve to 50-2-0 on the season.

   Junior Jess Mruzik had 13 kills, six aces, and two blocks. Senior Logan Beyer had seven kills. Senior Mallory Conrad and sophomore Kaylin

 

 

Collins both had five kills. Sophomore Julia Bishop had 30 assists and four kills. Senior Maddy Benoit had nine digs.

    Mercy beat North Farmington 3-0 in the district semifinals.

   Mercy advances to Region 7 action at Bloomfield Hills Marian, where they will face Detroit Renaissance on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Catholic High School League rival No. 6 Marian takes on Detroit Cass Technical in the other regional semifinal. The regional final is Thursday, Nov. 8.
